We are looking for an enthusiastic and community focused individual to join our team as Programme Manager to make a positive difference to the lives of residents. You will lead on our work and partnership with Islington Council on the Islington Resident Support Scheme (IRSS), and you will be involved in other elements of our programmes of grant-making and support to voluntary organisations working for the benefit of local people.
Cripplegate Foundation | Background Information
Cripplegate Foundation is an independent charity addressing poverty and inequality in the London Borough of Islington and parts of the City of London. We are an innovative funder and convenor aiming to promote social change through our grant making, our programmes and partnerships. We partner with Islington Council in the Local Welfare Scheme (Islington Resident Support Scheme, IRSS) which provides direct financial and wider assistance to Islington’s most vulnerable residents. It is a unique example of a local authority and grant-making trust working closely together to design and implement a creative response to national changes in welfare provision and hardship faced by those on low-incomes.
We also lead the work of Islington Giving, a movement founded by a coalition of funders to address local issues of poverty and inequality by sharing the resources, knowledge, networks and ideas of local funders, businesses, community organisations, public agencies and residents.
