Cripplegate Foundation administer a programme of individual grants on behalf of Richard Cloudesley’s Charity.

Grants are available to those who:

• are affected by illness or disability who are living on benefits or a low income
• and live in the Ancient Parish of Islington.
  This is roughly the present London Borough of Islington but excluding any area south of Chapel Market and City Road.

We offer grants of up to £500 for essential household items, basic electrical goods and white goods, disability aids and equipment, and start-up packages for newly housed homeless people. We cannot make grants for educational purposes or to pay off debts.

We will consider your application if you are on a low income not significantly above Social Security levels. You must also have an illness or disability.

You are expected to make an application to the Social Fund before you approach us. Grants complement the assistance provided by statutory sources, rather than replace it.
