Richard Cloudesley’s Charity

Richard Cloudesley’s Charity is a charity endowed by the will of Richard Cloudesley on 13th January 1518, serving churches and medical needs in the Ancient Parish of Islington.

Richard Cloudesley’s Charity gives grants to address poverty and ill health in Islington. This includes mental ill health and disability.

The Charity gives grants for residents of the ancient parish of Islington. This is roughly the present London Borough of Islington but excluding any area south of Chapel Market and City Road.
