Current Priorities
Three themes capture the Foundation’s priorities:

1. Reducing poverty
Applications which work with the poorest sections of the community to help to reduce poverty are encouraged.

2. Increasing access to opportunities and making connections
This addresses access to opportunities by the most deprived residents such as those on low income and black and minority ethnic residents. It includes access to cultural and arts facilities as well as education and employment.

3. Social cohesion
Applications are encouraged which promote integration of communities and active participation in society.

All applicants must show how their work will address one of these themes.

What the Foundation funds

  • Core costs for key Islington voluntary organisations
  • Project funding
  • Salary costs
  • Capital costs

We have identified priorities which are reflected in our schools, pro-activity and grants to individuals programmes.

Grants are made for periods of one to three years.
