Main grants programme

Governors consider all applications which benefit the local area. The map of our area of benefit will help you decide whether you can apply for a grant.

Applicants are encouraged to telephone to discuss their application before making a full application. Foundation staff will be able to advise on whether your group meets our criteria.

Applications can be made on the Foundation's application form or by letter or email. If you prefer to write a letter, you must supply the information asked for in the form.
All applicants are visited before an assessment is written.

Applications presented to the Grants Committee have often changed from the original request after discussion with staff.

The Foundation is keen to ensure that grant giving is more than cash funding.
Our team of grants officers are experienced in the voluntary sector. They can often provide advice on alternative or additional sources of funding, on premises and management problems and links to other organisations.
