Grants to individuals
Cripplegate Foundation provides financial help to individuals to relieve hardship and distress. There were 157 grants to individuals amounting to £45,075 in 2007.
The Foundation sees individual grant giving as part of a wider process to ensure that people on low incomes receive all the state benefits and services to which they may be entitled. Our Grants Officer, an experienced welfare rights adviser, visits all applicants to advise on benefit entitlement and make referrals to local advice services such as the South Islington Advice Project. He also offers information on different services available in the area such as play groups, training projects or counselling services.
All applications are dealt with in strict confidence and all applicants are treated fairly, equally and in a non-judgmental manner.
We also administer the following grants programmes on behalf of others:
St Sepulchre (Finsbury) United Charities
