How to apply:
Grants to individuals

Who can apply
Applicants must live within the Cripplegate Foundation's Area of Benefit. Our map will help to you to see if you can apply.

Applicants must have lived in this area for at least one year to qualify for a grant. Asylum seekers and those who were previously homeless will be considered without the one year qualification.

Applications will be considered from anybody on a low income not significantly above Social Security levels. Priority is also usually given to people who are also facing other problems besides living on benefits: for instance those who are coping with illness or disability, debt, family break-up or similar difficulties.

Applicants who receive Income Support or Pension Credit and who are likely to be entitled to a Community Care Grant are expected to make an application to the Social Fund before they approach the Foundation. Grants made by the Foundation are intended to complement the assistance provided by statutory sources, rather than replace it.

Applications are considered on a rolling basis. There are no deadlines for the programme.

Application form & guidelines

Please note, Richard Cloudesley's Charity has separate funding criteria and a separate application process
