How to apply:
Islington Community Chest
Islington Community Chest is funded by the Islington Strategic Partnership. Grassroots Grants funding is provided by the Office of the Third Sector

To be eligible to apply your organisation or project must be based in Islington and have a turnover of under £100,000. Grassroots Grants funding is available to groups with a turnover of under £20,000.

The Foundation assesses applications in the same way as it does applicants to its main grants programme. All applicants are visited and offered advice on funding, premises and sources of additional support. Only one grant per financial year is available. Organisations can only apply once a year.

Meeting timetable 2008/2009

Please note: There are no deadlines for applications. In view of the high number of applications received, we cannot guarantee that an application will go to a specific meeting. Please submit an application at least 6 weeks before a Panel.

Panel meeting: Wednesday 2nd July 2008

Funding Round 2
Panel meeting: Thursday 25th September 2008

Funding Round 3
Panel meeting: Wednesday 17th December 2008

Funding Round 4
Panel meeting: Wednesday 11th March 2009

Please ensure that the correct postage for 'large letters' has been paid.

There is one application form for both Community Chest and Grassroots Grants. The Panel will make decisions on the source of funding of your grant. You do not need to submit separate applications for each Fund.

E-mail copies will be accepted, subject to receipt of a signed copy of the application and attachments.
